"Lead-Based
Paint Maintenance Training Course: Work Smart, Work Wet, and Work
Clean to Work Lead Safe"
This
training program presents the procedures for minimizing lead dust
generation and soil contamination during maintenance activities,
as defined by the EPA and HUD. If these procedures are correctly
implemented, the risk of lead exposure to maintenance personnel,
children, residents, and the families of maintenance personnel can
be minimized. This training program does not train maintenance workers
to do lead abatement.
This
course is an update by HUD of the National Environmental Training
Association course originally developed under a grant from U.S.
EPA and HUD.
The
course materials are an Instructor Manual and a Student Manual in
PDF (portable document format) files, and slides in PowerPoint files.
The Student Manual is 100 pages in length and the Instructor Manual
is 124 pages in length. The Manuals have an introduction and 10
modules; there is a set of slides for the introduction and each
module.
