The second change to Handbook 6509.2 REV-5 has recently been released. The changes are the combined results of CPD Field Office input and Headquarters analysis of FY2006 monitoring results. The majority of the changes are technical corrections and minor in nature. The more significant changes are the following:

  • Removal of Chapter 8 on "Homeownership Zones;"
  • Inclusion of a new Chapter 27 on "Flood Insurance Protection;"
  • A new Exhibit 3-22 in Chapter 3 for the CDBG program on "Guide for Review of CDBG-Funded Homeownership Assistance;" and
  • A reduction of the number of Exhibits in Chapter 24 in "Lead-Based Paint Compliance" from six to four.
